German: Ausbildungsvertrag
Reviewed by Sajid ur Rehman— MSc Physics candidate, University of MünsterLast updated 20 July 2026
An Ausbildungsvertrag is the signed training contract between you and a German employer that sets out your role, salary and training period. It is the document that lets you apply for the vocational-training visa — without it, there is no Ausbildung visa.
Why it matters for applicants from Pakistan, India & Bangladesh
Securing this contract from abroad is the make-or-break step. It usually requires the right German level plus a strong, tailored application and interview.
