Nursing Ausbildung in Germany for Bangladeshi students
Pflegefachmann / Pflegefachfrau
Germany's most in-demand Ausbildung. Higher stipend than most fields, strong PR pathway, and huge, sustained employer need. You care for patients across hospitals and clinics — monitoring vitals, giving medication under supervision, assisting with mobility and hygiene, and documenting each case. Training alternates between a nursing school (Pflegeschule) and hands-on ward placements.

Why this role
Why Germany needs nursing trainees
Germany's ageing population and a wave of retiring nurses have left tens of thousands of Pflege posts unfilled. The shortage is structural, not a passing dip — which is why hospitals actively recruit trainees from abroad.
Who this suits
- You stay calm under pressure and genuinely like helping people
- You can commit to reaching B2 German before you start
- You want the strongest demand and clearest PR route of any field
Where you'd work
Public and church-run hospitals, university clinics, rehabilitation centres and larger care groups — many of which help international trainees with relocation.
Where this leads. Nursing is a state-recognised, regulated profession. After the three-year Ausbildung you qualify for a work residence permit, and skilled-worker rules let you progress toward permanent residence — often within a few years of full-time work. No one can guarantee an individual immigration decision — but a completed Ausbildung puts you in a far stronger position than arriving without one.
Earn while you train
Salary & progression
You're paid a monthly training salary from day one — roughly ৳1,827,840 in your first year — and it rises each training year.
| Training year | Gross / month | Approx. net (low end) |
|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | €1,190–1,490 | ≈ €976 |
| Year 2 | €1,404–1,758 | ≈ €1,151 |
| Year 3 | €1,607–2,012 | ≈ €1,318 |
First-year net is roughly €976/month at the low end. Figures are approximate first-year training pay over a 3-year Ausbildung; sector and regional agreements vary. See BIBB for official Ausbildungsvergütung figures. Local-currency amounts move with the exchange rate — treat them as planning estimates.
What you need
Requirements for Bangladeshi applicants
Two things decide your start: your German level and how your Bangladesh qualifications map onto the Ausbildung entry minimum.
German: B2
This is a patient-facing, safety-critical field, so employers require B2 — you must communicate clearly with patients and colleagues. Certificates from the Goethe-Institut or telc are what count — not IELTS.
Entry: SSC / HSC
An SSC (10 years) is the typical minimum and an HSC (12 years) is preferred for most fields. Certificates go through education-board and Ministry attestation plus certified translation. No APS office handles an Ausbildung — that verification step is for university admission only.
You do not need APS for an Ausbildung. APS covers university admission, not vocational Ausbildung. Educational-document attestation plus employer/embassy verification. Considering a degree instead? Use our APS checker for that route.
From Bangladesh to Germany
The process, step by step
No jargon, no runaround — the real order things happen in, and where the delays hide.
- 1
Reach B2 German
Start Goethe/telc classes early — this field needs B2. Language, not IELTS, decides your timeline.
- 2
Sign an Ausbildungsvertrag
We help you apply broadly to German employers and secure the signed training contract your whole visa file is built around.
- 3
Attest your documents
An SSC (10 years) is the typical minimum and an HSC (12 years) is preferred for most fields. Certificates go through education-board and Ministry attestation plus certified translation. No APS office handles an Ausbildung — that verification step is for university admission only.
- 4
Arrange proof of funds
With a signed contract your training salary counts toward proof of funds, so you often only block the gap — sometimes nothing.
- 5
Apply at the German Embassy in Dhaka
Book early — slots fill up. Once submitted, processing usually takes about 8–12 weeks.
The blocked-account wedge. With a signed Ausbildungsvertrag, your training salary usually counts toward proof of funds. You typically only need to block the GAP between your net stipend and ~€992/month — sometimes nothing at all. A student visa needs the full ৳1,523,712 (€11,904) per year — a signed Ausbildung contract can cut that dramatically. Always confirm current practice with the German Embassy in Dhaka.

Yes. Nursing (Pflegefachmann / Pflegefachfrau) is open to applicants from Bangladesh. The typical entry point is SSC / HSC — you do not need a university degree. The real gate is German: this field usually needs B2. With a signed training contract you can then apply for the vocational-training visa.
No. APS is a verification step for university admission, so it does not apply to an Ausbildung. Your documents go through standard attestation and employer/embassy verification instead. If you are weighing a degree instead, check the APS checker for that route.
Employers expect a B2 certificate from Goethe-Institut or telc before you start — not IELTS. Healthcare and patient-facing roles require B2 because you must communicate safely with patients and colleagues. Budget several months of serious study; it is the single biggest factor in whether employers reply.
You are paid from day one. First-year training pay for Nursing is typically around €1,190–1,490 gross per month (roughly €976 net at the low end), rising each training year — that is about ৳1,827,840 in the first year. It won't make you rich, but it covers a modest life while you train.
Once your file is submitted, processing at the German Embassy in Dhaka typically runs about 8–12 weeks. The bigger delay is getting an appointment, which can be booked out for months, so start German and documents early and apply the moment a slot opens.
Usually not. With a signed Ausbildungsvertrag, your training salary usually counts toward proof of funds. You typically only need to block the GAP between your net stipend and ~€992/month — sometimes nothing at all. That is the key difference from a student visa, which needs the full €11,904 per year.
